Official Language
The official language of the Conference is English. Abstract submission,
scientific sessions, general correspondence will be in English. There will be no

Guidelines for the Authors
Guidelines for Oral Presentation
- Each meeting room will be equipped with a notebook and a data projector for PowerPoint presentation.
- PowerPoint presentations must be handed in at least three hours prior to the lecture.
- Speakers can check and hand in their presentation at the Speakers Preview Centre
- The time for each Oral Presentation is 12 minutes: 8 minutes for presentation and 4 minutes for discussions.
The chairmen are required to oversee the sessions timing.- Store all your files in one folder. Please make sure that graphics, animations and videos and your presentation are
all in the same folder- Microsoft PowerPoint 95 to Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 versions for PC can be used.
Please be aware that presentations made on Macintosh computers generally do not run properly on a PC.- Please visit the Speakers Preview Centre to check for incompatibilities. Most of them can be fixed there.
- In your presentation, leave appropriate time for discussion and questions from the participants.
Guidelines for Poster Presentations
- Poster presentations are an extremely important component of SMIT 2009 Conference
- Poster will be exhibited during all the Conference period. Posters could be displayed from
Wednesday, October 7 till Friday evening, October 9- Poster Session will take place on Thursday October 8th, between 15.30-16.00 Selected experts
will visit groups of posters, when the presenter will be expected to give a 1-2 minute summary of the
major findings described in the poster. The experts will lead the discussion with other members
attending the poster session. It is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure that at least one of the
authors is present during the session to take part in the poster discussion. Best poster presentation
will be awarded.- The entire poster can have a maximum size of 150 cm high x 90 cm wide. The poster does not necessarily
have to fill the entire working area.How To Get To Sinaia
Sinaia is situated at about 2 hours by car north-west of Bucharest (120 km).

TransportationThe Organizers are providing transportation both ways between the Otopeni Airport and the Conference Site,
for 20 € per trip, by request on the registration payment form.
For those who choose this option, it is mandatory to announce by email (office@smit2009.com) the flight

The weather in early October can be absolutely fabulous, enriched by the colors of the
landscapes. Average temperatures are located between 16-24 ° C.

3. Visit to Bucharest: Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 08:00-18:00. A one day trip to the famous House of Parliament, the Cotroceni Castle and the Village Museum.
4. Visit to the Hunting Museum, Posada, Friday, October 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM
5. Wine Tasting Reception: Friday, October 9, 2009 at 07:00 PM, at the Royal House Official Celery, in Azuga,
sponsored by Hallewood Group. 6. Castles Tour: Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 08:00-20:00. The visit will start with the Peles Castle,
it continues with the Bran Castle, the Rasnov Citadel, the Black Church.
